The Gite is very well equipped, the hosts even supplying milk, home-made bread, wine, etc. It was very well-equipped and extremely comfortable. The hosts were also very friendly and gave us lots of information about the area, including a timetable for Puy Du Feu, a theme park not to be missed. Lovely location and great for walking. Would give it 5 stars for all headings.

This haven of peace and tranquility is set in the heart of the Vendée countryside, on the edge of the hamlet of La Jousselinière, near to Sainte Hermine. The cottage has uninterrupted views across the gardens to the orchard.
Le Gite Tranquille Holiday Home, in the pretty hamlet of La Jousselinière - between Thiré and La Chapelle-Themer, in the Vendee. Country location, with large gardens and an orchard. Great for walking and cycling holidays.
The cottage is open throughout the year and can be booked for whole weeks in the summer months, or short breaks and winter lets out of season.
Every year in the nearby village of Thiré, the Gardens of William Christie are opened to the public for a few weekends and a week in August. During your visit, you will be able to wander around the well-kept gardens and listen to classical music. In August, a major Festival is held at the gardens - with afternoon and evening concerts by world—renowned Classical & Baroque musicians and singers.
